The college will be working in partnership with the Huddersfield Town Centre Partnership Limited (HTCPL), supporting the delivery of this year's festival, which will take place in St George’s Square in the town from Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 August. The festival attracts over 50,000 visitors and will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year.

Steven Pollitt, chairman of the HTCPL said: "Kirklees College has had a presence at the festival for many years, so we are pleased that they are supporting the festival this year. Their contribution in this region to the education of the hospitality trade is of paramount importance to ensuring that this industry remains ahead of its game."

In previous years, Kirklees College’s catering and hospitality section has been involved with the festival as an exhibitor, showcasing the culinary talents of the college students and chefs, as well as delivering live cookery demonstrations. This year the college will play a bigger role in the festival, as Education Partner.
